Honda Malaysia has been a strong and active player in the Malaysian automobile market. In 2003, the company set up a manufacturing plant in Malacca. Spread over 80 acres of land, the Pegoh Plant has a total built-up area of 13 acres and rolled out its first car, a CR-V, in January 2003 .
Since 1960, Honda Logistics has been engaged in the logistics of all types of parts and materials, as a logistics company of the Honda Group. Our experience and results obtained through large-scale logistics, called production logistics, of automobiles have been steadily accumulated as precious assets. We currently have a logistics network consisting of 34 corporations as bases in 14 countries including the United States, Canada, Brazil, Belgium, Philippines, Thailand, India, Indonesia, China, Taiwan, Japan and newest establishment in 2017 at Malaysia.
Since 2017, logistics for the Honda Malaysia Pegoh plant is managed by Honda Logistics Malaysia (HLMA), which operates from a logistics facility near the assembly factory. Its dispatches 190 loads a day with a turnaround time of 45 minutes between Honda Logistics Malaysia (HLMA) and the main Honda Malaysia manufacturing plant.
Honda Logistics Malaysia (HLMA) also offers services to companies outside Honda including: logistics, warehouse management, training, and quality assurance.
